The Maximize Startup Metamorphosis Explained

Startups are like butterflies. Only the strongest survive.

"Survival of the fittest" is a phrase that originated from Darwinian evolutionary theory as a way of describing the mechanism of natural selection. The biological concept of fitness is defined as reproductive success.

Build, measure, learn.

In a way, startups undergo a similar natural selection process,  which can be represented by the evolutionary stages of a butterfly.

An egg is like a startup idea. It is a seed of hope for the future, and yet any number of occurrences could cause the idea to die.

The larvae is like a startup idea being pursued. It has begun to gain vision, grow legs, and mature. This stage is likened to a founder or co founders who gain passion and take action on their idea to assess the viability of growth.

The pupa is like a startup idea being incubated. It has taken action, but more direct resources are required to get the startup to a point of scale or investment.

The butterfly is like a startup that has achieved revenue and growth milestones. It is ready to flap its wings and fly!

At each stage of the evolutionary process, Maximize has researched, designed, and tested our solutions increase the likelihood that a startup will succeed.
